20 years ago, having 20 absences was considered enough to automatically fail a class. Today, students with 2-3 times that number are expected to pass the class, but the class is still expected to be meaningful for the kids who do show up every day.
1. Those who focus on “Most kids will be fine if they get #COVID19” are missing the big picture. If we let kids get COVID in the next few weeks (which is a foregone conclusion with #Omicron without multiple layers of protection in schools), we create some major problems… 🧵

The trailer for #AWrinkleinTime did not appeal to me. However, the amount of praise it's getting on Twitter is out of this world. All of it has me totally convinced: (1) that I *NEED* to see this movie (2) that, since my dad has passed away, I'll probably cry.
