As it stands we are 2 points off 4th. What an awful league.

As it stands we are 4 points off 4th. What an awful, awful league.

Leeds are in the same boat as Forest where they’re big but have never really been a top six club. West Ham, Newcastle and Everton haven’t had the same highs but have been way more consistent historically

Hard to disagree with this Palace fan.

Fans are entitled to let the players know when performances are consistently poor. And Wilshere is right to say it makes things harder for the players. Don’t get why some of our fans seem to struggle to get that, it’s very simple

JW on the booing during yesterday's game: "I just think about the players and worry about the players in that moment. As what we want is the players to do well, what we want is the players to win, and that’s definitely not helping the players. You can see that, it’s clear." 1/2.

Pretty clear the club wanted an experienced core to guide us this season. Saville, Yates, Naismith all in central positions. And all have flopped while the younger players have marked our rare bright spots. Obvious what recruitment strategy we need now. Hungrier and fresher.

Can’t get any worse can it?

Notable that our inability to score in open play has continued from last season.

Huge, huge error not playing Fanne today. We all saw his absence against Barnsley had a massive role in that embarrassment. Why make that same mistake again?

Another underwhelming performance from Naismith. Been really disappointed with him this season

We’ve not even been bad today and still people booing at half time. Melts

Watching that crap in Yorkshire at the weekend, I wondered if that performance was largely down to tactical errors by Wilshere, especially omitting Fanne. Think that question has been answered tonight.

Conceding two direct free kicks in a row. This is stupid now.

How embarrassing of us to cheer our best result in a year. Next time it happens we’ll all file out quietly when the final whistle blows.

Luton's title-winning celebrations at EP looking a bit premature.

People might not want to hear it but he’s right. The weirdest thing about this season has been seeing this side build up confidence only to self destruct when it’s challenged. It’s not that they don’t care. It’s that they have so little resilience. Fine line. But different

Jack’s verdict after today’s defeat.

He’ll go there on a good contract in the best league in the world, and either pull off a miracle in the best league in the world, or get a big pay day with little loss of respect if he (likely) flops, because wolves are so poor. It’s a win win for him.

The only loser from Rob Edwards going to Wolves will be Rob Edwards. I am so convinced this tweet will age well.

Is this the stupidest comment made by any of our fans, ever?

The guy will be a cancer at your club. The players hated him last season. Not just because he is crap but because he is a nasty person. You will find out soon enough.

This season it seems like the players are actively trying to destroy their own confidence the moment they actually get any. Thank god we managed to pull back before penalties because losing would’ve been yet another crippling mental blow.

Into the hat for the second round 😅
