We are still admitting covid patients into our ICUs. For those who act like covid is over, it's not. I keep seeing young adults who end up infecting their loved ones. They cry, express regrets but it's often too late. While you can, do the right thing. Tears will not save lives.

While it's unlikely kids will return to in-class instruction this school year, we need to plan ahead. Labour day is just over 4 months away. For teachers/staff to be fully vaccinated when class resumes in September, they need their 1st shot in the next 2.5 weeks.
This has been an extremely upsetting and eventful day at @MGHToronto. We are about to go through what Italy & New York went through a year ago. I can’t believe we are at this place in Ontario today. Neither of those places had warning. We had one full year to prevent this.

There are 13 #COVID ICU patients in all of Atlantic Canada....a success story and testament to a bold and effective public health strategy. There are 19 hospitals in Ontario with >=13 #COVID patients in their ICU. We need help.
Ontario urgently needs ICU RNs and other trained healthcare workers to staff the beds we have on paper. To avoid a triage situation @ongov & @fordnation need to work with other Premiers with oversight by @JustinTrudeau to reallocate healthcare workers ASAP.
