Congratulations to this hard-working team of Aggie Research Scholars! Rachel, Jack, Jayda, and Gage. We were so fortunate to have you as a part of our lab and are proud of you for your accomplishments. Looking forward to seeing what you will achieve next after graduation.
On Monday, May 28, ENTO 424 Insect Ecology Course students hosted a poster session to share the findings from their course research projects. It was open to the public and we had a great turnout of faculty, staff, and students who came to learn about the students’ research.
Congratulations to Alex and John!
Alexandrea Smith, Master's student in Dr. Cecilia Tamborindeguy's lab, received the 2024 Outstanding Graduate Student Award for M.S., & John Grunseich, Ph.D. candidate in both @HelmsLab and Dr. Julio Bernal's lab, received the 2024 Outstanding Graduate Student Award for Ph.D. 👍
Very happy to have this Opinion piece published in Current Opinions in Insect Science with my former mentor Dr. Stelinski. In this mini review we examine plant-pathogen, vector, and secondary consumer interactions. 1/3 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Congratulations, Dr. Thompson!
I graduated!! Endless gratitude to my PhD advisor, Dr. Anjel Helms @HelmsLab, who is an amazing scientist/mentor/friend/colleague. Very thankful for a great experience at @tamuentomology. In January, I will start a postdoc with @karinburghardt @plantinsectppl at @UMDEntomology!
A new review just in time for the new year! A fun collaboration with @jesskansperson @predpreysara @ChemicAli_Lab on natural enemy chemical cues in multitrophic interactions:) doi.org/10.1016/j.cois…
Excited to share recently published work from my dissertation comparing foliar and root herbivore-induced plant volatiles!! Lots of intriguing patterns emerged, such as stronger volatile induction aboveground than belowground...Check it out!! @HelmsLab doi.org/10.1111/plb.13…
So grateful for the opportunity to be part of the EPN symposium at ICE 2024. We navigated a typhoon, reconnected with colleagues, and made many new connections. Thank you Raquel and Ayako!

Congratulations, @EntoThompson , on your successful dissertation defense this week! We are very proud of everything you have accomplished during your time at @tamuentomology It's also great to see you back in Texas, @marmolejoento
Today’s seminar is led by Dr. Dimitra Papantoniou with @HelmsLab on the versatile roles of insects! #TAMUBugs
Congratulations, Morgan! This is a well-deserved honor for all your hard work!
Very honored to be recognized at this awards ceremony and grateful to be a part of Texas A&M AgriLife! Thank you!
Our weekly @tamuentomology seminar speakers are a few of our very own Ph.D. students! @EntoThompson, Jonathan Hernandez and Haley Kennedy. We are excited to hear from each of them today. #TAMUBugs
Congratulations, Adriane and Junepyo!
We would like to congratulate Adriane Fifield on receiving the 2023 Outstanding M.S. Graduate Student Award and Junepyo Oh on receiving the 2023 Outstanding Ph.D. Graduate Student Award! 🎉🎊 #TAMUBugs
If you ever try to catch this #TAMUBug of the week, you may notice a sickly-sweet green apple scent. The squash bug is a prey insect and uses this scent to deter predators. See the published article below! 🔗onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/pc… #TAMUBugs (Photos provided by Helms Lab).
