Protests like this one in Suftu town yesterday in defiance of the so-called #Prosperity which they believe ‘to be a project imposed on them& against their will’. Angry protests& other acts of disobedience are common and steadily on the rise for months now.
Another tragic incident in #Somali rgn after the #LiyuPolice opened fire on protesters killing two young women & injured a young man in Dalawadaan, Nogob Zone. On Sept 3, the #LiyuPolice killed 5 & injured 19 in #Raaso while injuring 11 others in #Kebridhar city a month later.
