One of our #RootTracker fields finally got some much needed rain yesterday in parts of Iowa. #rainmakescorn
Like a well oiled machine, #HFG deployed another 2300 RootTrackers this week across 3 sites and 2 states. For a total of 4000 devices. In the coming weeks #RootTracker will advance our knowledge of root growth dynamics in field grown crops.
RootTracker installation was a huge success in Iowa this week.

Soils are drying out but the 6-10 day forecast is calling for below normal temps. First 48 hours after planting are critical, when the seed absorbs water to begin the germination process. Cold water causes imbibitional chilling injury and can damage or kill the seed.
