What the oppressed want will always be seen as ridiculous and unreasonable to the oppressor. The ISSTD's long history of actively mocking the plural community, even our most basic ask of "acknowledge that it's okay to be plural" is really frustrating.
At a workshop this weekend, the idea of members of a system deserving "their own right to life, right to self, the right to individual self-determination" was posed as ridiculous by a member of the ISSTD, and was not refuted by the many others in attendance
Spending so much time watching social media videos to learn from other #plural #DID #OSDD lived experiences, i get less time for my own alters to cycle switching through at the front to have their own lived experiences ... 🥺
