So excited to share the first half of my dissertation research. If you’re interested in transcription, enhancer activation, DLBCL, or B-cell biology, this one’s for you. Check it out in @CellGenomics!

Our latest work is out now in @CellGenomics. @HillaryLayden and team use the dTAG system and deep genomic analysis to determine how wild-type and mutant FOXO1 control transcription in DLBCL. cell.com/cell-genomics/…

I'm excited to announce that I'm defending on February 14th at 1 pm. See what I've uncovered about how mutations in FOXO1 contribute to B-cell lymphomas! Zoom link available; message me.

Has anyone updated their PRO-seq/GRO-seq adapters/sequencing primers to include dual indices for better results on the NovaSeq? Our current protocol is based on the TRUseq Small RNA kit but our core would like us to include a second index for better multiplexing. #Genomics

Excited to share our newest story! Our team details how the fusion transcription factor PAX3-FOXO1 regulates RNAPII pause release at a small number of genes via the recruitment of co-regulatory complexes to specific enhancer elements in aRMS cells. shorturl.at/ceFHL

#AACR2022 PhD candidate Susu Zhang will be presenting her work on identifying the direct targets of PAX3-FOXO1 from 9-12 in poster section 7.

Hot off the (pre-print) presses! Our PAX3-FOXO1 team shows that the fusion transcription factor is required to coordinate enhancer activity at specific targets in aRMS cells and delves into the mechanisms underlying this coordination. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Check out our latest preprint on the deep mechanistic analysis including proteomics and 13 parameter genomics to define how PAX3-FOXO1 modulates transcription at those gene targets. @ScottHiebert1 @HiebertLab @VUMC_Cancer @VandyBiochem biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Just found out I qualify as an underrepresented population because I received Pell grants for undergrad and my parents don’t have bachelors degrees. It’s weirdly comforting to know that the NIH recognizes this.

I looked up what the NIH defines as an underrepresented population for purposes of diversity and inclusion and I was shocked to find out that I qualified. The reason? I grew up in rural America. My journey and why I think this is an important area for DEI efforts 👇
