How To “Shortcut” Your Way To Owning A Profitable Recording Studio That Earns A Rock Solid Income For YOU Every Single Week, week in, week out.

Might be one of the reasons I love "live" mixing whether it's Front of House (FOH) or monitors, it's major FUN (I actually like mons better)

Equipment just seemed to be cooler - or is it "Kewler"

Someone in the class asked if I was nostalgic to the old analog days. The answer is: "Yes, I am."

That's one of the reasons why I use analog compressor/limiters on the front end of my digital inputs.

Digital doesn't have that nice soft overload that analog has. You go from excellent audio into almost instant distortion with digital.

I was Jabbering on the back step about recording and said that, you really need to watch your levels much closer when recording digital.

My friend Rubin, bit.ly/bvjDLt, has a great Home Recording Studio ebook that shows how to make money from a little home studio

If you are recording and using a compressor, remember that hard compression can result in a sort of 'breathing' sound from the electronics.

Headphones: I'm not going to 'DIS' my Sony's.They've given me great service. But I am going to say that the Sennheiser cans have won me over

Headphones 6: If you want corded, I love using the Sennheiser HD280 Pro, they have superb isolation and great sound. http://bit.ly/bHqW6n

Headphones 5: If you do decide to go wireless, I recommend the Sennheiser RS120 Pro 900MHz Wireless Open Air Headphone: http://bit.ly/a8ZeaY

Headphones 4: If you decide to go wireless, remember to always place the phones into their charger the night before you play. Embarrassing!

Headphones 3: Corded or Wireless? My answer... "Yes" They both have their advantages. However, the choices are more limited with wireless.

Headphones 2: When mixing down, or any time where isolation isn't a must, I prefer open cans because the sound is clean and pure.

Headphones 1: I prefer closed phones when recording because they better isolate you from outside noises, and open mics from your headphones.

...once the effect is added to the source track, it's locked in and the only way to change it is to simply record another track. Take heed.

...adding effects to track at performance can only lead to heartbreak if it is decided to later do something else with the track.
