I wonder if data can be used to identify when players are approaching their maximum Throwing is mechanical in a way where you can define ideal & non-ideal movement, so I wonder if teams use the joint tracking data to pick up these irregularities if this data can even be picked up

The NCAA provides competitive amateur sports with Student Athletes, but recent steps like NIL have professionalized the sport by leveraging networks for recruiting. Not all players benefit from NIL, creating a split between athletes and student athletes (e.g., Zion).

Passing skills in #NBA by roles: High Value Assists (3-pt, rim, FT) and Assisted Points/100 possessions compared to role average. Jokic (C) and Haliburton (PG) standout, along with Sabonis, Dray and Simmons. Role data from @bball_ref play-by-play data.
After Brown's extension, I wanted to see some data behind it. While Win Shares are not perfect, I didn’t have access to better data sources. First, Brown's WS compared to others. Second, the league's contract landscape. Lastly, Brown's cost per WS before and after the extension.
That’s such an interesting concept of a metric. I wonder how often metrics like this are used in media business environments
