If government prohibits a citizen from bringing a product to market, should it have the ability to profit from existing products already in existence. Specifically, historic based mass wall masonry housing stock.

For all our faults, dysfunction, and outright disgusting behavior, Philadelphia is the greatest city on the planet.
Cities, just like organized government, should always be a struggle between belief systems of the many. Stray too far to one collective and, just like a family reunion, dysfunction will surely take center stage.
Local civic associations have ultimate say on which way the neighborhood should grow. End of story.

The “density sickness” is plaguing our city planning and development strategies. If heightened levels of dysfunction exist today, tell me exactly how adding half a million people to the madness will cure anything?
Pennsylvania’s current trajectory leans on being a cheaper alternative than NY and DC. While leadership egregiously proclaims how well they’ve done, the everyday Pennsylvanian gets crushed by the economic might of outside influence.
Overwhelming majority of Americans desire to own a single family home, with row homes included. So the farce of density through apartments and affordability will solve nothing for the middle income American trying to achieve the American dream through private LAND ownership.
