The most secure on is online backup. It's also very handy because you will have access to all your files wherever you are.
Raid systems only work when all the harddisks are the same in capacity. Others will not always been accepted.
Raid systems are very secure in offline storage of data. If one harddisk fails you can put a new one in place and go further working.
