Amos was crushed. He didn't think their was a better word for how he was feeling. The girl he had liked since second year just ran after bloody @AGameBoys and there was nothing Amos could do. The Hufflepuff could win @ReckIessBravery back from Sirius. Not a chance.
"Of course. I have been crushing on Marlene since fifth year. I'm sure you knew of this." Amos's voice was dry. He was not one to hide emotions and had figured everyone knew of his crush.
"Desperate is a bit much, Lily." Amos clicked his tongue in mild annoyance.
"I am volunteering to take you out on a date. Yes." Amos grinned and gracefully sat into the seat next to Marlene. His eyes shine with happiness at the prospect of dating Marlene. "I have been meaning to ask you for awhile, and this seemed like a grand opportunity for me."
