Together with @Hyperoptic, we tested this morning the broadband speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second (Gbps). It is the first time such speeds have been brought to a UK home using an existing ISP network rather than a dedicated line. 💪 bbc.co.uk/news/technolog…

In fact, rates to 10 Gig at 45 metres or less. Fibre performance with no degradation and simple in unit 'footprint'. FTTP indeed.
well, if we're talking FTTP then yes that's fine IMHO, also Cat5e is rated to 1Gb so doesn't really matter.
