Could I design a NASA Rover? In IDEA Lab 3rd grade students continued their work on space exploration by recreating the Mars Perseverance Rover and programming it to locate rocks in the lab. #a2steamexpo @A2STEAM @a2schools sites.google.com/aaps.k12.mi.us…
In IDEA Lab 2nd grade students answered the question 'Could I be a video game designer?' with a resounding 'Yes' as they created and programmed their own video games. #a2steamexpo @A2STEAM @a2schools sites.google.com/aaps.k12.mi.us…
First-grade students learned about the history of A2STEAM with their classroom teachers and came to the IDEA Lab to think about the FUTURE of our amazing school. #a2steamexpo @A2STEAM @a2schools sites.google.com/aaps.k12.mi.us…
In the IDEA Lab kindergarten students created their own game board characters and learned to code them to move on a grid. #a2steamexpo @A2STEAM @a2schools sites.google.com/aaps.k12.mi.us…
A2STEAM Expo! Young Fives students challenged themselves to work like architects as they designed and created their own buildings. #a2steamexpo @A2STEAM @A2schools sites.google.com/aaps.k12.mi.us…

Enjoyed a quiet evening at home taking in the #a2steamexpo Great work @A2STEAM great work @HattMr !
We just launched our first virtual EXPO and invite everyone to explore our students' PBL work at: sites.google.com/aaps.k12.mi.us…. . Student creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking abounds!
Proud of the focus these 3rd graders are putting into constructing robotic models of NASA’s Perseverance Rover. @NASA @NASASTEM @mispacegrant @A2STEAM
In the kitchen with my 2nd grade students today creating reversible and irreversible changes in matter. @A2STEAM
AAPS PLTW Launch science teachers are challenging students create a device to keep ice pops frozen and protected from a hot summer day. Check out these videos from @kippdohm. She made split screen tests to find what was most effective at keeping the heat out. Eyes were glued.
Thank you @SarahEVanLoo ! I was trying to clarify for my students that good insulators don’t warm things on their own they slow the transfer of heat. Great idea about these gloves, both great insulators, one designed to keep heat in, the other designed to keep heat out.
Save the Popsicles! AAPS PLTW Launch teachers are challenging students create a device to keep ice pops (or ice cubes) colder longer. We’ve seen that heat can change the state of matter. Worked with students this week to identify the best, easy to find, insulators. @A2STEAM
Thinking of dear Addison @A2_Carpenter -our Black girls & all our girls today -May we hug & hold them close,May we commit to support, advocate, &remove barriers on every day & in every way possible-May we work so they see their paths forward to achieve their dreams #AGreatDay @VP

Props to @msdawsonteach and the PLTW Launch science planning team for making great interactive video demonstrations like this one so every 3rd grader across @a2schools could have an engaging experience today learning about magnets, magnetic polarity, and magnetic fields.
