A Justice, liberal or conservative, who believes in a "living breathing" Constitution that "evolves" based on the Justice's personal views is not a Justice. They're an unelected politician.
I don't want Judge Barrett to be an advocate for the "American People." I do want her to be an advocate for the US Constitution. The Judicial Branch is a separate but equal partner to the Executive and Legislative Branches. If that pisses off Democrats, all the better.
When a Democrat worries a judge is an ‘activist’ they mean that the judge will ACTUALLY uphold the US Constitution.
