Crochet a stuffed cute mouse with your odd yarn. 4 Ply yarn and 2.5mm hook or 8 ply yarn and 4.5mm hook size. It's very cute.
Or if a duck is more of a project you'd like. you can use the embroidery pattern linking from under the crocheted mouse. Use left over floss
Crochet Mouse requires 5 different colours and can easily be made from left over yarn. Double the yarn thickness and the hook size for more.
Latest in the Animal Patterns collection is The #Crochet #Mouse. A cute little critter all made up to 17cm tall. www.instantpatterns.com

Needlepoint makes great art. Check out my pattern of a duck. It's quick and easy to sew. And makes an excellent project for on the go.
I can see the duck on a tea towel. It uses a great combination of mixed yarns for a realistic effect. Just follow the sewing guidelines.
It's been a while but I have managed to find the cutest little needlepoint duck to sew. It's quick and easy and very, very versatile.
