I could have spent all day in Mrs. Ford’s classroom at Sunny Hill. She provides extended support for our youngest learners, and watching her teach this morning filled my bucket. She provided rigor, high engagement and the students were having fun!
Ms. Salvador, the Sunny Hill extended teacher, has such phenominal relationships with her students! It was awesome to watch her fifth graders productively wrestle with fraction word problems this morning.
Mrs. O’Brien’s extended fifth graders at Roslyn were on fire in math this morning! She did an amazing job facilitating purposeful and rigorous student to student discourse, and made learning fun! It was so awesome to watch these children love math!
Allowing children access to learning objectives, targets, vocabulary and resources to support learning should be the norm in all classrooms. This classroom at Countryside Elementary school is setting a great example for all our classrooms.
I had the privilege of spending time in two elementary extended math classrooms today at Hough and Countryside. Mrs. D’Angelo and Mrs. Jenkins-Rudolf did a remarkable job of ensuring students carried the bulk of the cognitive load within their math tasks.
For the past 3 years, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work under the incredibly fierce leadership of the amazing Ms. Sarah Rabe. Thank you Sarah for taking a chance on me. The Larkin Network, where Awesome Thrives is and was because of you! #adminteam

Illinois Park preschoolers are wrapping up their unit on The Great Outdoors. The dramatic play campsites in all classrooms were amazing, and it was great to hear my one friend reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar! #larkinnetwork #whereawesomethrives
Creekside’s Rigor Diagnostic was fantastic. It’s awesome to see the instructional strides they’ve made within the last 4 years! I was humbled by their kind words about my leadership and am privileged to be viewed as a difference maker among Creekside staff.
Creekside teacher leaders did a terrific job identifying specific next steps in each area of the School Instructional Maturity after looking at today’s Rigor Diagnostic data. @U46TeamED
