Agree - the former public toilets in my local high street have long since been a (private) dental surgery
How many of us won’t go out far as we need to use the toilet- esp older people or young children. We need a campaign to have more public toilets and shops & restaurants are public friendly! If you agree pls retweet & comment @IndependentAge @age_uk @DavidJ_Brindle @HallmarkFDN

Social Care will be ‘bolstered’ no longer ‘fixed’. A long pillow placed under a broken system? Who voted for this?
The only way to spend some time on such a sultry day in the UK in our tumultuous world is to listen to the Buena Vista Social Club (the most beautiful older musicians I know of), find some shade, sip a mojito and close your eyes…☺️

The oven ready plan for social care remains in the freezer. Looking inside to see what’s there, it’s an uncooked rehash of past ideas being ignored. Just like those who need and provide care, who are left to struggle on with less and less.
Wish you could join me at this amazing insight into #thesoprano which has been developed for care homes during #lockdown - loving hearing Tom, Louise and Francesca belt out (technical term!!) Torreador!

Great to see the care home sector not accepting the deflection of blame and the twisting of the truth by the PM. This is a self evident exercise of trying to divert blame before it lands on his desk, as clearly it should. Just ask residents, relatives and staff to find the truth.

Great concert, thank you. But, when, when, when, will anyone recognise the role social care are playing? Not just NHS. Did I miss the link with care homes? Deaths there are hidden, care workers striving against all odds without PPE, no public recognition. Leaves me weeping.
