Dawn is a great cleaner for Granite countertops, most degreasers are not as forgiving on this type of stone, specially if you have them sealed, they can diminish your penetrating sealer over time.
Learning about a product is vital before purchasing, learn about the pros and cons, there isn't a perfect product but getting educated will save you money and headaches, if you buy Travertine tile or Marble, know you will have to polish them at least once a year.
Doing things yourself can come with a price, sometimes it is just better to hire a professional, like in this video, I had a customer rent one of these, well guess who needs drywall repair and ended up paying for our services anyway. youtu.be/znzh8FVJB1s

Floor buffer Fail #1
Marble countertops are beautiful, but to maintain them can be a pain, since toothpaste, shaving cream etc can stain them, it would be good to wipe them with water after getting them dirty everytime.
Cleaning your tile grout can be easy, all you need is a brush, some degreaser or stripper(make sure you water it down quite a bit), spray it on the grout, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and scrub, make sure you rinse it well, if you have color sealing, do not scrub it.
Tack Stripping can be a little annoying to do but it can save you some cash if you don’t want to pay someone to do it, all you need are gloves, chisel, a hammer, or a cutting wheel, chisel the aluminum nails, cut the iron ones.
Slate Tile looks great, to keep it clean you must scrub it not just mop it, here is a job we recently did before and after cleaning, finished with an enhancing sealer.
Concrete floors are very easy to maintain, because of natural sealing by polishing, the pores are very close which causes a lot less dirt, if you are going to clean it with chemicals, make sure it is something neutral, non acidic.
Limestone is a great looking floor, but one bad characteristic, it is a sponge for dirt and liquids, once you clean and seal it, there are some really good cleaners to maintain that floor without hurting it such as this one on our website. integrity-tile-and-grout-cleaning.com/limestone-tile…
Travertine can be a beautiful floor, but once installed, some of the tiles can look rough, as you see in this picture, ask to either have them replaced or replace them yourself, but know the charm of this floor is it’s imperfections.

Terrazzo can look very nice once it is polished, but if you purchase a home that has it and carpet was covering it, there maybe stains you can never remove from the glue or liquids that sat in the pad for years.
Epoxy paint looks great when applied, but within time it does what is supposed to do, removing it can be pretty messy and hard to do as the paint can sink into the pores of the concrete, here is one in bad shape, we cleaned it up and polished it to a semi gloss finish. #concrete
Here is a job that was beyond dirty and dull, this isn’t our high polish service for Terrazzo, it’s a semi gloss to save the new owner some cash but still provide a good product for him, it is protected and looks presentable for a big kitchen. #terrazzo #tampa #florida
