Often considered enigmatic geek, pragmatic realist, cat herder, polygot (generalist, part sys-admin, part programmer). I just love solving problems. :)

Hi @quinnmadson Quinn... 1st off - I generally dislike social media, as I feel it's failed as a medium...but anyway, point is... I just wanted sincerely & publicly thank you for this: madson.dev/using-azure-ap… It greatly helped me recently with an azure issue. Thank you.
Rest in Peace, Clive Sinclair. You don't know it - but changed my life for the better. I still have my ZX81... (and the 16k memory expansion pack and 300 baud modem)
Note to self, use this to gently kick flaky clients in the butt that don't value time management & GTD!: Hi _______. Can we schedule a set time to start this? I've other projects, and I want to be sure to block out time, so I can focus on this just for you, and get it done. :)
Taking a moment to thank all of the poll workers across the USA. Thank You!
Are me and my friend #JackReacher the only ones seriously wondering when thrift stores are going to open again? This washing clothes thing, is becoming a problem. hehe... :) @LeeChildReacher
Am I the only one, as an older dev, that literally just cringes whenever they see the use of Foo or Bar in a technical demo, presentation et al. I mean... seriously, the joke is old, done, tired and unoriginal. aka.. Cliche' as F
Rest in peace, John Prine. :( You have no idea how much a difference you made to my life.

Am I the only one that if I ever found a resource to learn to code (<insert programming language here>) that was politically incorrect, completely insensitive, full of bad language, and generally offensive to the general populace... I WOULD BE THE FIRST TO PAY $$ and SIGN UP!!
ok, so this guy Tom Butler is just plain cool. and a PHD! I mean it.. no sarcasm. Looking for a small vagrant/virtualbox combo.. and found his Vbox. Awesome! and now I've read his various opinions on the modern tech world... And WOW!! Fuck yeah man! r.je/vje-minimal-vi…
THIS!
While this once again proves how kinder animals are, than many humans... I can't help but think what this kind whale would've done, had she known of our multiple harms to the environment in which she lives. I don't think we deserve such kindness from them.
In life & work, I've had to be very careful (of people's feelings), when they say "I did this..or that...and blah blah blah"... when I know, they probably didn't. One of the best things I've learned to say to deal with this, is a nice diplomatic phrase : "Trust...but verify." ;)
BREAKING: a federal judge has ruled that suspicionless searches of travelers’ cell phones, laptops, and other electronic devices when we cross the U.S. border are unconstitutional. This is an enormous victory for privacy. eff.org/press/releases…
