Visit: People will visit the intertidal zone because they either want to go to the beach to relax and have fun or they want discover new animals or plants. Some people visit to take photos or go to do art the biome and it’s animals.

Threats to biome(pt.2): People also pollute these areas with oil and trash that is not disposed properly killing the organisms that live in the intertidal zone these animals can choke on these pieces of trash they can digest oil they aren’t supposed to have in their system.

Threats to the biome(pt.1): The biggest threat to the intertidal zone are humans themselves. Intertidal Zones are popular among tourist and people to live near the intertidal zones but, they can get too excited and step, crush, squeeze, and poke at organisms.

Plants(pt.5): giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) - gas filled bladders and thin blade like leaves. Kelp are an order of brown seaweeds known as Laminariales. They have thin blade like leaves which increase the surface area available for photosynthesis.

Plants(pt.4): Phylum Phaeophyta (brown algae)-many contain alginic acid within their cell walls; this gel-like acid absorbs waters and keeps the algae from drying out during low tides.

Plants(pt.3): sea palms(Postelsia palmaeformis)-tough, thick, hollow but flexible stem, or stipe, which allows it to stand up in the air.

Plants(pt.2): Green algae(Phylum Chlorophyta)-algae have holdfasts that attach to the sea floor and anchor them down much like roots of a plan

Plants(pt.1): Seaweed-small blades that are called fronds,These are similar to leaves, but they are divided into more sections than leaves. This is helpful for seaweeds because it gives them more surface area to gather sunlight and produce food.

Animals(pt.6): Sea lemon - A nudibranch's bright colors are usually a warning,Predators scorn the sea lemon's fruity, penetrating odor and acidic taste. Observers have seen fish spit out accidentally ingested nudibranchs. Nudibranchs do prey on other nudibranchs, however.

Animals(pt.5): Limpet-Their strong foot muscle attaches the shell to rocks, preventing desiccation at low tide, and anchors the animal in rough seas

Animals(pt.3): Purple star- Their stomach can be extended out through their mouth to engulf and digest prey. This feature allows sea stars to consume a variety of prey larger than their mouth.

Animals(pt.2): whelks/dog wrinkles- modified radula (a toothed chitinous structure) to bore holes in the shells of prey, complemented by an organ on the foot which secretes a shell-softening chemical.

Animals(pt.1): Purple shore crab-They have the ability to regulate the amount of salt in their systems, a trait called osmoregulation. This enables them to live rather far into brackish estuaries and salt marshes, where the the level of salt in the water changes with the tides

Biome characteristics(pt.5): The intertidal zones exist anywhere the ocean meets the land, from steep, rocky ledges to long, sloping sandy beaches and mudflats that can extend for hundreds of meters. Intertidal zones exist in every continent and in any country that is near water.

Biome characteristics(pt.4): The intertidal zone can experience any season but most commonly they experience hot and humid summers, moderate springs and falls, and cool harsh winters.

Biome characteristics(pt.3): The precipitation with the intertidal zone depends on it location but for the intertidal zone in Laguna Beach in receives 13.8 inches of rainfall a year.

Biome characteristic(pt.2): The intertidal zone's high exposure to the sun the temperature range can be anything from very hot with full sun to near freezing in colder climates depending on where to location of the biome is.

Biome characteristics(pt.1): The intertidal zone is characterized by the air and water temperature that can range from extremely hot to very cold to moderate. The temperature with in the intertidal zone can change by as much as 20°C within a time span of a few hours.

Introduction(pt.8): The plants of the intertidal zone that live in the lower parts of the intertidal zone, many plants and animals attach themselves in place and are very sturdy, very flexible, or otherwise well suited to stand up to wave energy.
