One of my nerdy quarantine projects was making and comparing a sonar sensor array with a time-of-flight Lidar array. Sadly, both turned out to be worse than a cheap 2D spinning Lidar, but I learned a lot in the process and you can too (if that's your jam) diyrobocars.com/2020/05/01/com…
