Thanks for following - I'll hopefully be back when the Chilcot team announce their findings some time later this year.

And, with that, Tony Blair's second appearance before the Iraq Inquiry draws to a close.

Chilcot pays tribute to the audience too, given the importance of the issues to many of those in the room.

Chilcot: This has been an unusually long session - thanks TB for his evidence.

Blair: In retrospect you need a top-level person in the Cabinet Office/No 10 who can go straight to the PM.

Blair: Finally: when I read the evidence of people who complain about resources, you need a different transmission of info system to the PM

Blair: No one nation, even the US, can nation-build alone

Blair: Our emphasis on other multilateral relationships is key - EU defence capability and nation-building capacity, plus the UN too

Blair: Important we keep US relationship together, but be realistic. It will be difficult and hard. We may differ on strategy and interests

Blair: The question people raise is, is it worth it? Is the pain-gain ration worth it? My view: yes. We couldn't hv done Kosovo without US

Blair: The second is on our relationship with the US. The decision shoulder-toshoulder - the US partnership is easy to say, tough to do

Blair: I want to make clear that you need to view AQ and Iran in broader context and look at connections between the two

"Too late" "Too late" shouts from behind Blair - 'Quiet please' urges Chilcot

Blair: I answered that I took responsibility. That was taken as meaning I didn't regret loss of life. That was never my meaning.
