If true, a complete travesty that Trump has forced Denmark to do this. It would probably torpedo many of the commitments Denmark would have made to the coalition of the willing. Denmark also participates in NATO's enhanced forward presence in the Baltic states & eastern Europe.

Interesting thoughts Indeed. But there is also a continued large US mil presence in Europe including a good number of nuclear weapons. Do you expect extended deterrence to be withdrawn? And might you also be able to offer any policy prescriptions for non-US Nato members?
And to repeat what I said at New Year, Europe-US relations will almost certainly improve if Miller et al are replaced by a new administration in 2029 but it's wishful thinking for Europeans to believe all they need to do is hang on for 3 years and it will all go back to normal.
