Throwback Thursday: Here's a gem of a library book from 1981! "As people become more concerned about the energy crisis, it's possible we will decide we need fewer machines, not more machines. The computer might even become extinct, like the dinosaur." (pg 98)
The first of our Makerspace2Go kits went out today. November's project is rock painting. The kit includes a rock, paint brush, up to 6 colors of paint, a sweet treat and inspirational quote. Can't wait to see what our students create!

We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in the library! Look what new books just came in the mail today! We have a small, but growing, collection of books in Spanish and by Spanish-speaking authors. Our library catalog even translates into Spanish. Check it out!

Football player Gayle Sayers passed away last week. Learn more about his friendship with Brian Piccolo, a teammate of his with the Chicago Bears. Piccolo died at the age of 26 in 1970. We have two books that tell their story.
Love a good mystery? Check out our featured book Chase Darkness With Me by Billy Jensen. After years of reporting on unsolved murders, Mr. Jensen was fed up and decided he needed to solve them himself. To date, he has solved 10 homicides and helped locate several missing people.
