The Centre has approved environmental clearance for the 1,856 MW Sawalkote project on the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir. To be built by NHPC at a cost of ₹31,380 crore, the project will be developed in 2 phases after India’s Indus Waters Treaty suspension. 📸 @Amarrrrz

The Vande Bharat train, currently running between Katra and Srinagar, will soon be extended to start from Jammu railway station, officials said. The service was delayed due to flood damage but will launch after track restoration and safety clearance.

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board has proposed a ₹830 cr, 230 km LPG pipeline from Jalandhar to Jammu with 0.30 MMTPA capacity. The project will save ₹231 crore, cut 0.4 million tanker trips & reduce 0.42 MT of carbon emissions while ensuring reliable LPG supply.
