For context, a @FOX4 reporter tweeted this week saying San Antonio mistakenly added 3,484 COVID-19 cases that had never actually been tested. That is not at all true. Please read my story to fully understand what happened (and keep sharing!)

Fact check: TX removed 3,484 COVID-19 cases this week because they were diagnosed using antigen tests rather than PCR tests (both diagnose current infections). Please RT this story as many times as Steve’s misleading post has been retweeted (27.5K times!) thedailybeast.com/texas-erases-c…

How do you figure? $3.77/mo is based on 10-year historical actuals. And the future projections include new improvements, which means new taxpayers on the rolls.

.@COSAGOV property tax revenues projected to grow by more than 2.6% avg. for the next five years, per the city's budget. Hence, if enacted, SB 2 savings would be greater than $3.77/month sanantonio.gov/Portals/0/File…

Texans & #txlege need to know the real cause of high property taxes. #SB2 & #HB2 won't fix the problem. Watch our video. vimeo.com/305514478

And new growth means new taxpayers on the rolls. Total levy is not a reflection of increased taxes on existing homeowners.

Some legislators think taxes on new growth are bonus money. New growth requires new services on that growth, plus pre-building of new infrastructure. Probably a net budget hit. #sb2 #txlege
