PPHA is a rare vascular anomaly that demands careful planning during CAS. This case report describes a unique strategy: double distal filter protection (DDFP) using a single guiding catheter. A fascinating technique worth checking out for neurointerventionalists.

Rethinking stroke thrombectomy? A large-scale Japanese study (N=17,589) found that CA alone was associated with: ✅ Better functional outcomes at discharge ✅ Lower in-hospital mortality ✅ Lower total costs. No difference in ICH rates. A crucial read for stroke teams.

A rare ruptured basilar trunk dissecting aneurysm treated with coil embolization and multiple overlapping stents, followed for 11 years. Dissecting aneurysms often recur—really tough case. This one needed 4 stents, yet the patient walked out well. Truly impressive👏

Large bore aspiration catheters contribute to achieving first pass effect (FPE) in M1 occlusion compared to conventional aspiration catheters, due to improved trackability and catheter-to-vessel match. Selecting an appropriate catheter diameter is important for achieving FPE.
