I heard about this trial on the news this morning. The "significant" differences did not look clinically meaningful to me. The relative difference always looks good, but the absolute difference looks very small.

@DavidCGrabowski I have no idea how I missed this but this is by far the best thing I’ve read on how to improve NH’s. I’m texting to my fellows. I love the proposal for more clinicians. Isn’t that obvious to anyone else? And wage minimums and pass throughs.

We are doctors who feel that masks in indoor spaces need to be mandated in the Toronto area. Despite improvements across the rest of the country, we are seeing large numbers of new cases and fatalities here. Guidance from the WHO and the CDC supports this as well ... 1/

Netherlands has nursing homes docs and highly professional nurses but still 40% of total death are in NH in areas where many positive communit cases. It’s the virus not the homes.
