Had an awesome time at #VMSG2024 this week, presenting some of my current PhD research on kimberlite ascent. It was great to catch up with fellow volcanologists and be back in Bristol, where I studied for my MSc!
Days 3 & 4 of the University of Southampton Tenerife fieldtrip, logging pyroclastic flows, falls and ignimbrites in the Montana Magua area, and investigating volcaniclastic deposits and pahoehoe lava flows at Roques de Garcia.
Another great day for @OceanEarthUoS in Tenerife. Today we discussed the Temo Massif, looked at anakatamite and investigated the structure of an A'a flow. @JRawlingsVolc
Day 1 of the Tenerife undergraduate field trip with the University of Southampton, students had their first view of the spectacular Mount Teide, visited the striking deposits of La Tarta and learnt about the history of Las Cañadas Caldera. 🌋
