My girlfriend left her phone in a @lyft and customer service is being absolutely useless in helping Get it back. Anyone have any good ideas?
Just had my first tech real tech interview. I think I did pretty damn well for a first timer. Is it bad that the interview was supposed to be 40-45 minutes and it took only 25 though?
I finally got a job interview. And I have a date tonight. I haven’t been on a real date in... well, years. Wish yer boy luck.
Started Labs at Lambda tonight. I’ve done amazing with all the technical stuff up to this point, but this unit is all about interviewing and I am super socially awkward and have anxiety disorders. Anyone got any advice for getting better with that sort of thing??
The history of cursing as narrated by Nicholas cage on Netflix? Ok, I’ll bite.
Applied to a job and they had an immediate coding challenge. Among other things I had to build a counter in Vue, having never touched Vue before, and I somehow managed to pull it off. Go me.
When dependabot emails me to tell me it has automatically bumped a dependency for security reasons, I can now think “Thanks, dependabot. I wouldn’t want to have worse security than the Capitol Building.”
Bootcamp during HTML/CSS/JS/React/Node/etc: “This really isn’t all that complicated, honestly.” Bootcamp during CS: “Omg I can’t do this I will never make it through a tech interview. Fuck whoever invented Graphs. Fuck.”
#100DaysOfCode R2 / Day 2/100: Spent a couple hours working on chat app... got login and and registration working, and set up redux store. Also spent some time with data structures... today’s DS was Heaps.
It’s ok to put pineapple on pizza. ⨂ 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺
The amount of people in tech who seem to think pineapple on Pizza is acceptable is upsetting. Maybe I should give up and become a garbage man instead.
#100DaysOfCode Days 98-100: Spent the last couple of days mostly struggling through codewars/leetcode problems. Gotta know big O complexity and data structures to center five apparently. But woo, made it all the way through. Might take a break and start again.
#100DaysOfCode Day 97: Leetcode, helped mentee understand async code, and tried (still unsuccessfully) to install a module in Python virtual environment
#100DaysOfCode Day 94: Learning about Big O notation, which I’ve studied a little before, at least twice. Hopefully third times the charm. Real talk though... does anyone ever actually use this at work, outside of whiteboarding exercises?
