All this will do is stop people going to see their GP due to fear. It won’t help anyone with employment. It won’t mean employers actually employ and support disabled people. It won’t mean that someone who can’t work suddenly is able to.

The government says job advisers are to be stationed in GP surgeries and hospitals in England, as part of efforts to get the long-term sick back to work. Family doctors will be encouraged to refer patients for employment help alongside their treatment. The plan is designed to…
