Both of Oregon’s turnovers have happened on stupid pass plays. Out route is the dumbest route in football. A quick screen with your RB carrying out a fake behind your QB as he goes to throw? Both of those play have a risk that isn’t worth the reward.
Out routes are the dumbest route in football. Most pick 6s happen on out routes. The risk vs reward isn’t worth it.
I don’t understand why the Lions or any team for that matter would run a pick play when they are on the 1 yard line. Why would you risk getting OPI in situation where you only need 1 yard?
OU’s offense will look a whole lot better next season if they can establish a viable run game and WRs can consistently win matchups in man coverage.
