"Goodbye dear, please stay safe and don’t do anything stupid. I can’t afford to count you amongst the dead when, or if I return..." 👽

"Oh Jane...All I see in my mind is your face, as sweet as it was the day I first saw you when you enrolled in my biology laboratory. Oh, how I miss those days. I miss the days when everything was normal - you would water the plants as I ate my Kedgeree in the spring sunshine."

Introducing another character from my story - William Ogilvy! The young and sceptical astronomer from Ottershaw and friend to Wells. Also, he is the first to perish from the Martian Heat Ray. #TWOTW

"Why do you never call me by my own name Bertie?" "Well I never liked Catherine so Jane it is, plus I think it’s a rather cute nickname." My main characters - The stiff upper-lipped Herbert George "Bertie" Wells and his headstrong wife Amy Catherine "Jane" Wells.

"At Byfleet we came upon an Inn, but it was deserted." I get the joy of living in the area of the original H.G Wells story! Get to pass this everyday.
