Have seen several different numbers, and look, I agree this is too high, but: -they include bonuses and sell-on %s, they aren’t the transfer fee exclusively -as long as it doesn’t affect other planned acquisitions, who cares? All I care about is if he plays like a DP.

A couple solid/standout years in USL earned Nick a transfer to La Liga 2, where things seemed to have sputtered out. Feels like taking a flyer on a cap friendly depth piece to me.

Welcome HHome. I don't even know what to say. Didn't think there was a chance for this and was emotionally bracing myself to see him in SD kit. After last season it's good to see a familiar face.

This is very sad news. If you wonder why the Houston Dynamo are considered the worst “pro” franchise in Houston, this is the latest example. Glenn Davis is the top soccer voice in Houston. There isn’t a close second. From business operations to soccer ops, the Dynamo are awful.
Unconscionable move from the Dynamo here. Thank you Glenn. For the coverage, the attention to the team, and the passion for the sport and city. You are the voice of the Dynamo, and you won’t soon be replaced in the ears and hearts of the fans.

1.6 for him really isn’t a bad deal at all. But it absolutely doesn’t matter unless we become a significantly better team this offseason. Nothing as of yet has convinced me that will be the case.
More details, per sources: Houston will receive $1.6m up front + $400k add-ons from New England for Raines. Cash trade. Raines hits Revs roster via U-22 initiative.
I will miss Raines, but for me the biggest question is why a young player getting this much playing time would want to leave.

We are either going to end up with the Texas teams + the 3 SoCal teams or with the Texas teams plus the 3 PNW teams. Will depend on if MLS prioritizes geographic continuity or keeping the 4 Cali teams together.

In the Serie A it was 4/7 in 2250 minutes. That's 25 90s. This is average. Most of his career was at the second tier. This is NOT a DP. I repeat, @asherhdfc you can put a stop to this. They BARELY stayed up.
