"Even though man has traveled to and from the moon since Cournoyer first defied the Superior Court in 1958, defendant's position in 1972 is as intransigent and uncooperative as ever." ~ Enjoying some salty court decisions.

It's amazing how many conservatives in RI right now are screaming "my body, my choice" at progressive members of the General Assembly without a hint of irony.

It's always a fun time in RI politics when progressives and conservatives have something they can come together to ridicule the mainstream leadership on.

Retweet if you think RIers shouldn't have to choose between getting medical care, putting food on the table, and keeping a roof over their heads.

I remember a time, not that long ago, when we didn't even think there would be a second congressional district in RI in 2022.

My brother can't get his vital medications because @HealthSourceRI and @BCBSRI can't seem to communicate. Healthsource says he's all set, BCBS says he's not enrolled. Runaround with getting it fixed, unacceptable! @GovDanMcKee @DanMcKeeRI @RIHumanServices .

Too little too late McKee!

Governor McKee was warned COVID cases were spiking prior to Thanksgiving, but rather than listen to the experts he chose to downplay the problem. This is unacceptable. Governor McKee failed to lead in a time of crisis, putting Rhode Islanders at risk. Read more 👇

This Governor is going to go down in the annals of RI history as "Too little Too Late McKee". He makes the right call but after weeks to months of inaction, exacerbating a crisis that needs decisive leadership.

Have they completely lost their minds? No one positive for COVID should be working. Especially not in healthcare facilities that have self-induced staffing crises because of management refusal to pay the significant wage increases required for these conditions.

If the rules can't allow for a proxy vote. Perhaps in the spirit of cooperation, someone who intents to vote the other way on the veto could abstain or not attend the vote in solidarity with their colleague.

.@JohnMarionjr is a legend. He's probably not going to get a "person to watch in 2022" designation (anyone?), but the guy does more than just about anyone to hold RI government accountable.

This is maddening. Dr. Alexander Scott’s sound judgement and expertise are saving lives. Governor McKee should listen to her advice, not have his political allies attack her. Also, vaccine mandates work. We should have them for teachers and state employees like other states do.
