Hunters Lane Debate Team was honored for a successful season at the Nashville Urban Debate League banquet Monday night. Sophomore Calvineshia won the Ascencion Rising Star Award, the only novice debater to be so honored. Congratulations, debaters!

Big wins for HLHS Debate Team at Tournament # 4 at Lawson HS today! Bethany & Catherine went undefeated over LHS & OHS & came in 2nd in the tournament. Catherine was top speaker for the tournament, Bethany earned 3rd speaker, & Franky was 7th! Layla and Nina beat Hume Fogg.

Hunters Lane Debate Team found success in their first tournament of the season at Lawson HS. The varsity team of Valeria and Joe went 2-2 versus Hume-Fogg. Joe was named 4th best varsity speaker. Kenia, Mia, Nina, and Layla won speaker awards. Mr. Proffitt was voted best judge.

AND The tests themselves should be public; parents and educators should be able to see how their children/students were tested
Last year, only 5 states released their results in June or July, in advance of the new school year. Another 10 released results in August, just before or right around the start of the new year. But that means 35 states and DC all released their results in September or later.
