At this point taking a career chance into the FP paradigm was a mistake. 1: it’s so hard to leave once you’ve used it professionally 2: it’s extremely hard & competitive to find places to work using it

JavaScript is a lot like English; No one knows how to use semicolons properly.

#CSS tip (2): `place-items` is a shorthand property that allows you to e.g. center what's inside a `grid` container. Super useful if you're confused about `align-items`, `align-content`, `justify-content`, `justify-items`… and all you wanted was just to center stuff 😁

This is where Apple is currently most vulnerable. I’m getting the impression that they are stretched too thin, software-wise. The small bugs (both user-facing and developer-facing) are adding up.

And no, I don't plan to report this to Apple. I currently have 100+ reports waiting for any kind of reply or status update. Not going to waste more time there.

This is the first I've considered the idea that the saga of Oracle v. Google will end with legislation, but it very well may.

Finally, whether Oracle likes it or not, this is a case about interoperability, specifically the ability of a competitor to reuse interfaces in competition with a dominant product. That's...kind of a big deal these days, in the House Judiciary report most recently

Cool but how do you define “functionally equivalent”? I’d worry that libraries will be shamed for having more features... Is tree-shakeability or support for only importing what you ise taken into account or just total size?
