Good Friday is our reminder that when everything feels lost, when darkness seems to take over, there is hope on the way. We know a better ending because we know a victorious Savior. Darkness may last for a while, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)

Sometimes the best thing to do when you don’t know what to do is to stop doing what you are doing and just be … be with the Lord. Be still. Be willing. Be quiet. Be faithful. Just be. “…in quietness and trust is your strength” (Isaiah 30:15).

God has promised to never leave us. So every morning when we wake up, we can say, “Thank you, Jesus. I know you were watching over me while I slept. And now as I get ready for the day, I know that wherever I go, you are with me.”

Jesus is the one who called you. Remember that voice. Listen to that voice. Love that voice. Follow that voice. Trust that voice. My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me. (John 10:27)

Ask yourself this question every time you’re in a meeting: what will be different when we walk out of this room?

For the rest of this football season we will have MC on the back of our helmets. MC is for Marshall Chambers. Mr. Chambers served as the headmaster for ELCA for a long time. I am blessed to have worked for him. He is one of the most Godly men I have ever met.
