It was a great Friday morning @SOEbuzz to attend the first International Academy (IB Candidate School) Award Ceremony for Ss exhibiting the “CARING” Learner Attribute. So excited for the SOE team and their students to embark on the IB PYP journey! @MCPS_choice @MCPS_Elementary
After months of hard work and Saturdays dedicated to challenges and learning aligned to “Mitigating Noise from Jet Engines,” students from 4 MCPS schools are presenting their Capstone Projects at the Orlando Science Center. We are so proud of their hard work!
Sess 9 of the UCF/NASA MUREP program is in full gear! Starting the day off w/some aerospace PD from program lead @JustinUrso. Ss continue collecting and analyzing data on sound waves using oscilloscopes. @MCPS_choice

The 1st of 12 sessions with the UCF/NASA MUREP Aerospace Academy team kicked off Sat! Ss from 5 schools worked collaboratively on phase 1 of the Capstone Proj. This phase involved learning about sound generation and propagation by building a speaker. @MCPS_choice @MCPS_Secondary
The UCF/NASA MUREP Program kicked off Thurs. with 62 @MCPS_Secondary Ss visiting the UCF campus and the Science & Engineering labs. We are so grateful for this opportunity, and the experiences it is affording our Ss! @MCPS_choice
It was an exciting morning @Super_Stallions which is home to the new Future Aviators Academy! Today’s kick-off included a ribbon cutting ceremony, a visit from the Sheriff’s Helicopter, and school-wide aviation related hands-on activities. @MCPS_choice
STEMcon night 2, for the middle school group, is in high gear! Over 100 families and students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in STEM challenges for the next 3 hrs. Thank you to Lockheed Martin for making this happen for our community. @MCPS_choice
Third thru fifth graders are having a fantastic time at night one of Lockheed Martin’s STEMcon event. The Ss are engaged in hands-on activities to promote interest in science, technology, engineering and math! Thank you for inviting MCPS to partner with you! @MCPS_choice
Over 20 hands-on activities were available for Ss to engage with at the Elementary STEAM Showcase. The Silver River Museum and Elementary teams did an amazing job of organizing a great event for our students. @MCPS_choice
