As part of the #KnifeAngel coming to Bradford, police in the City are holding a Knife Amnesty at Trafalgar House Police Station next week. The knife bin is for anyone who wants to dispose of bladed weapons and other offensive weapons. 1/2

We are back at the Nowell Mount Community Centre for our #CATCHonWheels programme. Another busy session with @PINGPONGFORU. We are so proud of this community & youth space created through collaboration & supported by @wy_vru. The centre is a much-needed resource in this area.

We’re at Ninja Warrior this morning meeting the young people who have taken part in the summer provision over the school holidays. They’ve had 6 weeks of targeted diversionary input from @YouthAssocUK @lifeexperiencep @StGilesTrust and are celebrating their achievements today!
Last Night Jemlock were proactive in patrolling the area throughout the evening. This resulted in 1 male being arrested for possession of a machete & 2 knives along with Class A & B We will continue to reassure the community and help tackle violent crime.

A review of international studies estimates that, on average, hot spots policing has reduced violent crime by 14% and overall offending by 17%. Studies suggest it could also lead to small reductions in crime or anti-social behaviour in adjacent areas as well.
