@grigganator as I said, most cyclists also own cars. Insurance is in case you get in an accident, not so you can use a road.
@grigganator The lanes are designed to keep cars out for safety, not the bikes in. Bikes are legally allowed to ride in the middle a lane.

@grigganator the law classifies a bike as a vehicle and says that we CAN be on the road. When you grow up maybe you can change the law.
