A neighbour says one of the teens was armed with a knife, and when police arrived yelled that he would be "out in two hours" and would be back to "stab everyone in the street". @3AW693
A Hawthorn man has tackled and detained an intruder after his home was broken into overnight. A 15-year-old boy was held down until police arrived. A second boy, aged 14, was found nearby and taken into custody. @3AW693
A new report from UNSW and ACSS shows 1 in 7 Aussies are living below the poverty line - rising by 463k to 3.7m since 2023. Worst of all, 1 in 6 children now face poverty - almost 40 years since then-PM Bob Hawke declared that no Aussie child will be living in poverty by 1990.…
The Herald Sun reports three boys, claiming to have been involved in the incident, returned to the scene about noon, bragging about being “addicted to stabbing people”.

58% of Australians support a "significant reduction" in migration levels. Of those with an opinion, those in favour of a cut outnumber those opposing a cut by almost 4 to 1. An absolute political slam dunk. Chart: SMH, Polling: Resolve

This is true. PM Albo and Opposition front bencher Albo are two very different characters.
I can’t explain this plot twist. I was looking at a video of Anthony MP explain housing affordability and it was absolutely correct. Anthony PM is someone entirely different.
Also keep in mind governments can just do stuff. They all like to say we can’t change taxes or do this because we need to seek a mandate at an election. A mandate for first world leading population growth was never sought (by either party).
This is a pretty surprising result, Australia heading treading the same path as UK and US. When you juice migration and per capita GDP falls, you don’t invest in the housing or infrastructure you need what do you expect?
The Albanese govt doesn't need anyone external to tell them migration is too high or that the system is poorly targeted & broken. Their own ministers have said the system is broken & focuses too heavily on temp migrants. And NHSAC has told them the housing shortage is growing.
We've been scammed! Everyone says the answer to the housing crisis is simple - just build more homes. But what if the housing crisis is being caused by a deliberate global system failure?
“Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith has hit out at the “staggering” number of migrants Labor has allowed into the country, as he issued a plea for the creation of a national population plan.” skynews.com.au/australia-news…
Of the following, which issue concerns you the most?
“Our capitalist system, which I’ve benefited out of pretty well, requires perpetual growth. You can do it by becoming more productive, which is hard work for the bosses, or you can just bring more and more people in and that is what we have been doing.” skynews.com.au/australia-news…
Should Australia have a population plan?

As our population swells due to mass immigration (to create the illusion of "growth")- building standards are sacrificed in a frantic bid to minimise the growing #housing catastrophe
I currently live in a china made townhouse and it is less than 2 years old and falling apart. Tile grout falling our everywhere, floor lifting, light switches upside down, doors and locks breaking. Just like a made in china car - rubbish Buyer beware
Trying to actually fix housing is nowhere to be seen

"In principle, Anthony Albanese says he backs open government. In practice, as prime minister, he has grown increasingly hostile to it. “He hates transparency,” one Labor adviser tells The Saturday Paper. “Loathes it.” thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/2025/10/1…
I’ve seen more machete attacks in Melbourne over the last 2 weeks, then I did prior to the machete bin rollout Great work Jacinta Allan 😀
Melbourne having another normal one....
A father and son stabbed by a group of teens (aged 14-17) outside Crown Melbourne. @3AW693

Why isn't Australia's housing disaster the number one priority?
