Mad about World War-II combat aircraft. I specifically hand-paint my models and build in 1/72 scale. Just 7 models under my belt, but I take my time.
I restarted my childhood hobby in '23 at age 60. I still work hard to keep an income so needed an out to de-stress. Here are my babies so far, packed away & now in a container headed to 🇨🇦 where we will be visiting our kids & grandkids for a few years. ETA 6-8 weeks to new home.
If I botch a paint job I’m just gonna label the project “an authentic paint finish” 😂
An authentic Spitfire paint finish would hardly pass muster at a modern air-show.

Really nice. One downside with 1/72 is the near impossibility of finding crew and other props to build dioramas with.
