Your path to web development starts here. I’m a software engineer working in web development since 2015. I don't have a degree and learned to code by myself.
There's a lot of information out there, but you only need a fraction to get started. Learn the basics using tutorials and the rest by building things.
Start a project from scratch. Hit a roadblock. Look for help in the documentation, on forums, or in tutorials. Stop once you overcome it. Rinse and repeat. That’s how you grow.
Most tutorials only show you the best-case scenario. The issues are fixed behind the scenes, and you only see the working solution. That’s a poor representation of reality.
Tutorials are good to get you started with the basics. But building projects on your own will 10x your growth.
Getting a CS degree is expensive and time-consuming. In the time it takes to get one, you can learn the skills independently and get a job. Get a paycheck, not a student loan.
The top reason you don't need a CS degree. Ready? Companies don't really care. Not even the big ones like Google, Meta, or Microsoft. Don't believe me? Check their careers pages for yourself. They hire based on what you can do for them.
