I'm usually pretty patient, but seeing these new "coming soon" banners up as I was leaving work yesterday made me "itch" even more for the day next year when I can start showing off @houstonbotanic -- which is still basically all dirt right now -- to family & friends.
Day 12: I finally ventured past the office for my first golf cart tour of the construction. I just saw dirt today, but I can already imagine how grand @houstonbotanic is going to look one year from now.
This is the first time a photo I have taken has "debuted" on the @houstonbotanic Twitter account. I hope this is just the first of many, many more to come.
Hundreds of these historical artifacts recovered from our property will be given new life thanks to our friends at @texasartasylum . We can't wait to see how the golf balls will be repurposed into art!
I was so glad my new @houstonbotanic colleagues invited me along for this "field trip" prior to my first official day in my new role. I learned a lot while viewing @houstonzoo & @HermannPark -- two places I already loved -- with fresh eyes. Houston's "green" community is great!
We recently visited Hermann Park to meet with staff from the Houston Zoo, Japanese Garden, & Centennial Gardens. We appreciate how welcoming all of our colleagues with Houston's other cultural institutions continue to be as we join the ongoing effort to make Houston even greener!
