You can argue the merit’s of 1 person suing 50 universities, but a quick WAVE check of all 50 home pages shows they average 39 detectable errors. 94% of them clearly fail WCAG. It’s difficult to claim reasonable effort when a computer shows otherwise in a few seconds of effort.

As a rule of thumb, #JavaScript should only change state, not style. You can provide styles per state in #CSS.
