My Granfathers One was the First Black Police Officer of Maury County. The other is the first Black business owner of a painting company in Greenville Ms. during segregation. I walk in my purpose because they paved the way for me. #MyBlackHistory
Thank you to our guest kindergarten reader today Mariah Phillips. The kids loved her spirit. She was just in time to hear the 3rd grade talk about the levels of government. It was really cool that she shared her experience in running for Congress!!

Today @msbfincher class conquered a goal of making a score of 100 on IREADY 25 times!! I promised them a celebration. It was AWESOME and they all got an award. They were all smiles today. Buzz worthy type of day!! @howell_stem

What an honor it was to be apart of the Carver-Smith Yellow Jackets Legacy Event sponsored by CPJI The first African American school in Columbia!! The reunion, game and celebration was phenomenal!! what a PROUD moment. Honored to know my mother and uncles went to school there!
