everyone is talking about Michelle Obama but turns out my fashion icon is Janet Yellen
"Boolean" but pronounced like "Jolene" and you sing the song every time you assign one.
I have been lots of questions about plexiglass barriers--this is the best visualization that I have seen. They are designed to block big droplets produced in sneezes and coughs. Aerosols float right around them and can actually concentrate near a person sitting on the other side.
You create a recirculation zone behind barriers like plexiglasses, benches, wall separators etc. So it means that a large vortex (or many of them) can form. Aerosol concentration can get trapped behind the wall in concentration pockets.
Even though I dislike cold, there's something magical about the first snow. Especially since it's the first one for our house 🥰🏠 @andSutter

Fox News and Facebook did to our parents what they said video games would do to us.
Dr. Ghez is also making history as the fourth woman ever to win the Nobel Prize in Physics. The previous female laureates were Marie Curie, Maria Goeppert-Mayer, and Donna Strickland. #WomenInSTEM
“I hope I can inspire other young women into the field. It’s a field that has so many pleasures, and if you are passionate about the science, there’s so much that can be done.” - Andrea Ghez speaking at today’s press conference where her #NobelPrize in Physics was announced.
Congratulations to 2020 @NobelPrize in Physics recipients Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel, and Andrea Ghez. go.aps.org/3ld18OE
After watching the first 9 minutes of that debate I feel more qualified than ever to be the first female president
Virtual meetings are basically modern seances. “Elizabeth are you here?” “Make a sound if you can hear us.” “Is anyone else with you?” “We can’t see you, can you hear us?”
Congratulations to @emanueladelgado on being elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society! aps.org/programs/honor…
